Our Life Together

There are a variety of ways to enjoy each other ,  to serve the Lord and our community. We invite all to come just as you are to be part of our family and part of our Home. “Come and See”

Sunday School runs from September through May and meets each Sunday at 8:50am during normal church hours. Children will join their parents for worship during the peace. Sunday School breaks for the summer, and we encourage parents to bring their children to church with them during that time. Sunday School introduces students to basic elements of scripture and Episcopal tradition, focusing on God’s love for us, loving each other and prayer. Older students will focus on growing a deeper understanding of scripture and tradition. Weekly lessons correspond to the scriptures read in church. Students also focus on local, regional and world outreach activities. All volunteers who work with our young people must take a Safe Church abuse protection and awareness program training. Please contact us if you are interested!

  • Parish Chaplains offer support and counseling to parishioners, including visiting the sick and homebound, and being present during times of need, celebration, and transition.

  • A Stephen Minister is a trained layperson in a church who provides confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people facing difficult life situations like grief, divorce, job loss, or illness, focusing on listening and spiritual support rather than professional counseling, guided by strict confidentiality and supervision to bring Christ’s love to those hurting. These faithful people are under the guidance of the Altar Guild director who reports to the Rector.

Ushers

This ministry is important to the flow of any service.  Ushers greet worshipers, hand out bulletins, help find seats, and give guidance to anyone not familiar with our church or service. During the service they manage its flow, especially during the offertory and communion. They also call the Sunday school during the peace to join the worship.  Following the service, ushers straighten up the sanctuary. Ushers volunteer on a sign-up schedule.
