Blessing of the Animals and Stuffies

Parishioners, families, and neighbors are invited to bring their pets for a blessing by Father Harry as we give thanks to God for the companionship and joy animals bring into our lives. Children may bring a favorite stuffed animal to be blessed, too.

Many churches bless animals near October 4, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, a Christian friar remembered for his love of animals and all of God’s creation.

If you missed your own church’s animal blessing around St. Francis Day, you and your pets are welcome to join us, too.

We’ll gather after Coffee Hour, allowing time for families to return home and collect their pets.

Please bring only animals comfortable around people and other pets. Keep pets leashed or in secure carriers.

All are welcome. Bring a pet, a stuffed animal, or simply yourself!
